Blog Choosing a CMS
Когда Wix нормальный выбор, а когда он начинает мешать - Zen Webmaster

There is no need to demonise Wix or similar website builders. For a simple start, they are genuinely convenient: put a page together quickly, showcase services, list contact details, and never have to think about hosting.

But every builder has its limits. As a business grows, SEO, speed, multiple languages, integrations and data portability all become real questions, and what matters is not “which platform is trendiest” but what will not get in the way a year from now.

When Wix works, and when it starts to hold you back

Wix works well for a start

One or two pages, no complex SEO structure, a fast launch is needed, the owner edits blocks themselves.

A flexible foundation is needed for growth

Several languages, a blog, Google Ads campaigns, non-standard integrations, control over moving data.

Common mistakes

Problems appear when a builder gets used for something that already demands flexibility: many service pages with no SEO plan, several languages bolted on with no real structure, speed that is hard to control, and moving content to another platform turning into a painful process.

Where the risk lies

The risk is that a simple start turns into an expensive move later on: content has to be transferred by hand, SEO gets lost when the structure changes, and some features depend entirely on the plan you are on, with no full control over the technical side.

What you can weigh up yourself

  • do you need a blog and Google Ads campaigns
  • how many languages will the site need to support
  • do you need forms, a CRM, or an online shop
  • does moving the site in future matter to you
  • are you prepared to run the platform yourself without a specialist

When it is better to delegate

If the need is simple and short-term, Wix can be a sensible choice. If the site needs to become a long-term digital office, it is worth discussing WordPress or another flexible foundation early on; a mistake at this level is rarely visible on day one, but it becomes expensive later.

Zen Webmaster can help you work out what genuinely fits your business: a fast website builder, or a flexible foundation built for growth.
