Hearthbeats: a lead-generation website for a US fireplace and audio dealer

It started as a single page on a website builder, with no menu and no internal links. It ended as 25 landing pages built around county-level search, with a quote form above the fold and analytics that actually counts enquiries. Three weeks before the winter season.

Home page of hearthbeats.net, a fireplace dealer in Maryland

Brief and context

The client wanted calls and quote requests from homeowners across Montgomery County, not a showcase. The starting point was one page on a website builder: no menu, no internal links, not a single page dedicated to a product line or a brand. Visitors simply never noticed the audio side of the business.

The client does not do installation, does not publish an address and sees customers by appointment only. So the copy was built around consultation and product selection, and the markup around a service-area business rather than a shop at a street address.

  • 25 pages instead of one: three product lines, a brands hub and a page for each of the nine brands
  • One landing page frame: a single H1 per query, the form above the fold, a trust bar, FAQs and a closing call to action
  • Copy written from scratch in American English, brand facts verified against manufacturer sites and dealer locators
  • A blog with four in-depth articles on local queries: insert costs, gas versus wood, county permits, choosing speakers
  • Schema.org markup for a service-area business, FAQPage on every landing page, breadcrumbs
  • GA4 tracking form submissions and phone taps; enquiries are stored in the database and delivered from an authenticated domain
  • Form protection without visual puzzles: 43 spam bots stopped in the first ten days
  • Moved to a US server, closer to the audience, with a staging copy for anything risky

What this project shows

A page for every query

Nine brands and three product lines each got their own landing page. Someone searching for a specific brand lands on that brand’s page, not on a general catalogue.

Enquiries the analytics can see

Form submissions and phone taps are counted as conversions in GA4. You see not just how many people arrived, but how many got in touch.

Pages built by code

Landing pages are deployed from specifications by scripts. All twenty-five came out equally tidy, rather than tailing off towards the end of the list.
